I’m always in a rut this time of year with my outfits. I love oversized, comfortable clothing, but when the weather can’t decide if it’s going to be 50 or 70 I have trouble getting dressed in the morning. For that very reason, October is the month of layers. I’m a layering fanatic and always have a cardigan, vest or fleece with me at all times. Seriously, the backseat of my car looks like my closet threw up.
My favorite fleeces this season (and every season) are Patagonias. I used to be obsessed with NorthFace and still pull my super soft zip-ups out every once in a while, but nothing can beat the Patagonia snap pullovers.
I found this fleece at the end of August and – knowing I wouldn’t be able to wear it for a solid month and a half – still bought it. All of Patagonia’s fleeces and vests are totally worth the investment because of how versatile and warm they are.
I try to avoid pulling out my coats until December and just layer throughout the fall. These fleeces are perfect for layering over a long sleeve tee and under a vest or cargo jacket. Raw Linen is the color of the fleece I’ve styled here. I love the off-white because it can be paired with so many different colors and prints.
I’m headed to central New York today to go on a mini fall foliage tour and hike in Letchworth. Upstate is absolutely stunning this time of year, and I’m so excited to see it!
